The Power of Touch

A small-group, in-person workshop teaching the foundational principles of caring touch — for any two people who want to take better care of each other at home. Launching in 2026 in carefully chosen NYC locations.

A Workshop Built From 22 Years of Quiet Observations

After more than two decades of working with bodies, I've come to believe that one of the most underrated forms of care in adult life is the simple, non-clinical, intentional touch we give the people closest to us.

Most of us were never taught how to do it. We grew up watching it modeled—or not. We carry tension we don't know how to ask for help with, and we live with people who would help us if they knew how.

The Power of Touch is a workshop designed to bridge that gap.

Over the course of an afternoon, attendees learn simple, foundational techniques for relieving tension in a partner's neck, shoulders, back, hands, and feet. They leave with the confidence to care for someone they love at home—without prior experience, without a table, without anything more than time and presence.

The Foundations of Caring Touch

A high-level look at what the workshop covers. The full curriculum is being developed and will be shared with the interest list as it's finalized.

01

The Why Behind Touch

A brief talk on what intentional touch actually does — for the nervous system, for stress, for the connection between two people. Why this matters more than most adults realize.

02

Neck & Shoulder Release

Foundational techniques for relieving the most common areas of held tension. Where to place your hands, how much pressure, what to look for.

03

Hand & Forearm Work

Often overlooked, deeply restorative. Techniques anyone can do on a partner sitting next to them on the couch.

04

Foot Reflexology Basics

An introduction to the principles of reflexology — what foot pressure can do, and a simple sequence to try at home.

Why I'm Building This

I've spent 22 years putting my hands on bodies. I've worked on celebrities and executives, new parents and widows, athletes and weekenders, people in their twenties and people in their eighties. I've watched what touch — given carefully, without an agenda, by someone who cares about you — does to a body that has gone too long without it.

Most of my clients tell me the same thing, eventually: "I wish my partner knew how to do this." Or my mother. Or my sister. Or my best friend.

And the truth is, it doesn't take 22 years to learn to do it well. The basics are simple. The principles are learnable. What's been missing is somewhere to learn them — a real, in-person space where two people can come together and be taught the things I've learned to do almost without thinking.

That's what The Power of Touch is. The first workshops will launch in 2026, in carefully chosen NYC locations, in small intimate group sizes. If you'd like to be among the first to hear when registration opens, add yourself to the list below.

Contact Us

  • When will the first workshop happen?

The first workshops are scheduled to launch in 2026. Specific dates and venues are still being finalized. People on the interest list will be the first to know once dates are confirmed.

  • Where will the workshops be held?

In carefully chosen NYC locations — likely yoga studios, wellness centers, or private event spaces in Manhattan. We're prioritizing venues that are calm, welcoming, and accessible to clients across the boroughs and the surrounding areas.

  • Do I need any previous experience?

None whatsoever. The workshop is designed specifically for people with no prior training. You'll learn foundational techniques that any two people can do for each other at home — no special equipment, no anatomy background needed.

  • Do I have to come with a partner?

Yes — the workshop is designed to be experienced and practiced in pairs. The "partner" can be anyone you'd like to learn alongside: a romantic partner, a close friend, a parent, a sibling, an adult child. The format is the same regardless of who you bring.

  • How much will the workshop cost?

Pricing will be announced as we get closer to launch. The first workshops will be in small intimate group sizes, and the experience is being designed to be substantial — something more than a class, less than a weekend retreat. Interest list members will receive pricing details first.

  • Will the workshop be available online or as a course?

A digital version is being considered for after the in-person workshops are running successfully. The first focus is on the live experience — it's hard to replicate the feeling of being guided in person, especially for something as physical as bodywork. Updates on a possible digital version will go to the interest list.

  • Will workshops happen outside of NYC?

The first workshops will be in NYC. Depending on demand, we may explore additional locations in the surrounding region — Westchester, the Hudson Valley, possibly other major cities — over time. Interest list members in those areas will be among the first to know.

  • Can I host a private workshop for my group?

Possibly. Private bookings — for friend groups, retreats, or special occasions — may be available once the public workshops are running. If you have a group in mind, please mention it when you join the interest list and we'll follow up.
